At Untrivo ("we", "our", or "the application"), we consider digital privacy an unalienable fundamental right. We engineered our software from day one around the technical paradigm of Privacy by Design and by Default. This policy explains with complete transparency what data we do not collect, how our software interacts with your Windows operating system, and the technical protocols applied when browsing our official website (untrivo.com).

1. Core Philosophy: Offline & Local Software

Unlike conventional utility programs that bundle background analytics, behavioral telemetry, and advertising modules, Untrivo Uninstaller is a dedicated system utility engineered to operate locally without requiring an internet connection for its primary functions.

Directory scanning, forensic remnant detection across the Windows Registry, and Working Set RAM memory purges are processed entirely by your machine's CPU and RAM, without external cloud intermediaries.

Data Isolation Guarantee

Untrivo never indexes or transmits your list of installed programs, your hardware serial numbers, or your personal file names to any server. Your system information remains 100% under your physical control.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

To eliminate any ambiguity, we explicitly state that Untrivo never collects or processes:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Full names, physical addresses, phone numbers, or identity documents.
  • Credentials & Accounts: Usernames, passwords, authentication tokens, or access keys.
  • Personal User Files: We do not inspect, open, or analyze your documents, spreadsheets, photographs, creative projects, or emails.
  • Browsing History or Keystrokes: We do not implement keystroke logging (keyloggers) nor do we track browser URLs or online activities.
  • Financial Data: We do not process payments in the application, nor do we request credit cards or bank accounts.

3. Administrator Privileges & Technical Justification

To fulfill its purpose of deep uninstallation and system optimization, Untrivo requests elevated Administrator permissions (Windows UAC):

  1. Read/Write Access to Windows Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE & HKEY_CURRENT_USER): Required strictly to detect orphaned keys left behind by standard uninstallers (such as in \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall). Untrivo only touches keys that forensically match the application you explicitly choose to uninstall.
  2. Access to Program Files & AppData Folders: Allows scanning C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86), C:\ProgramData, and %LocalAppData% to locate orphaned subdirectories.
  3. System Memory Management APIs (psapi.dll / kernel32.dll): Used by the RAM Optimizer and the floating HUD gadget to request the Windows kernel to reduce working sets (EmptyWorkingSet) and free standby memory.
  4. Windows Auto-Startup Management (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\...\Run): Upon first launch, Untrivo registers itself to start minimized in the Windows System Tray using the --minimized parameter. This enables continuous RAM memory monitoring, the automatic memory cleaner (if enabled by the user), and instant availability of the desktop HUD gadget without interrupting your startup experience. Untrivo does not perform background telemetry, does not send data over the network, and does not waste system resources. The user may disable this auto-startup behavior at any time with a single click from the "Windows Startup" tab inside Untrivo or via Windows Task Manager.

4. Data Safety & System Restore (SafetyGuard)

Protection against false positives is an architectural pillar of Untrivo:

  • Immutable Whitelists: Untrivo permanently excludes critical Windows system folders like System32, WinSxS, Microsoft Visual C++ runtimes, DirectX, and hardware drivers from any deletion.
  • Windows System Restore Points (VSS): Before purging Registry entries or residual directories, Untrivo interfaces with the native Windows Volume Shadow Copy Service to create an automatic restore point on your local drive.

5. Website Browsing (untrivo.com) & Cookies

When visiting our website:

  • Zero Marketing Cookies or Tracking Pixels: We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
  • Browser Local Storage (localStorage): We use local storage solely to remember your UI visual preference (Dark Mode or Light Mode).
  • Network Infrastructure & CDN (Cloudflare): Distributed via Cloudflare for fast delivery, HTTPS encryption, and DDoS defense. Transient technical access logs (masked IP, HTTP code, User-Agent) are processed strictly for network security and abuse prevention.

6. Third-Party Links & Downloads

Untrivo distributes official executable releases via GitHub Releases (owned by Microsoft Corporation). Clicking download links directs you to GitHub's secure infrastructure, which operates under the GitHub Privacy Statement.

7. Children's Privacy

Untrivo Uninstaller and our website are intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union), in compliance with COPPA and GDPR regulations.

8. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under international frameworks such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users possess rights to access, rectification, portability, and deletion. Because Untrivo maintains no user databases and collects no personal information, your right to be forgotten is satisfied natively: upon deleting Untrivo from your computer, zero record of your identity remains on any system.

9. Policy Modifications

We reserve the right to periodically update this policy to reflect technical enhancements or legal adaptations. Substantive updates will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
